Our doors can be made in several different ways to suit your needs.
Screen Door—This is just a good ol' fashioned wood screen door. The screen is attached directly to the door. It is re-screenable, just not in a separate removable frame. There is no storm glass insert.
Fixed Screen & Removable Glass - The screen is attached directly to the door. The glass panel goes on over the screen, on the side that faces inside the house. The glass is 1/8" thick, clear tempered glass. It has a wood frame around it (the same wood type and finish as the door). Some clips screw to the door that turns to hold the glass panel in place. Not available on 3/4" thick doors.
Interchangeable Screen & Glass - Both the screen and glass are in separate removable frames. The frames around the screen/glass are wood (the same wood type and finish as the door) and are held in with clips that screw to the door and turn to hold the frames in place. The frames go on the side that faces inside the house. Glass is 1/8" thick, clear tempered glass. Not available on 3/4" thick doors.
Permanent Glass (no screen)—Don't need the screen? No problem. Plain, simple models (such as 3600, 3600-P, 3610, 3630, etc.) can be made as just a storm door, with permanent glass only and no screen. This option is not available on all models and is not available on the 3/4" thickness. Please contact us for pricing.

If you have an older or historic home, whether it's a Craftsman, Bungalow, Victorian, Colonial, or Cottage, your search for window screens is over. Modern aluminum or vinyl window screens will stick out like a sore thumb. Keep the bugs out, the breeze flowing and still remain historically correct with these custom-made wood window screens and storm windows. We build them to order, in the size and specs you need to fit your home.
Window Screens and Storm Windows can be used in front of your main window to allow for airflow and ventilation, and the storm windows add extra insulation for the winter. They can also be used as panels to create a screened-in porch or a three-season room. The standard frames are 3/4" thick Unfinished Doug Fir, however other wood types, thicknesses, and rail sizes are available. They can be customized to your requirements. Taller bottoms, crossbars, grid sections, or decorative corner brackets can be added. The standard screen material is Charcoal Fiberglass, however many other types are available. They can be unfinished, or we can stain or paint them. The bottoms can be flat, or cut at an angle (10-degree bevel) to match the sloped sill for a better fit.
